I am doing an oil pump and timing chain set and while I was in there I was checking out the cam lobes and lifters and saw this. They don't look like stock ls1 lifters to me they look more like ls7's. I bought it as a one owner car from a Gm exe. and have all the service paper work to go with it and he never opened up the engine. Normally aren't the stock ls1 lifters not "shielded" all the way around the roller?

Sorry I'm using a "see snake" it's a camera used for inspecting the inside of pipe. I think you can still get the idea though.
