Shoot me a PM or an email better yet.....I might have some experience with those heads.....LOL

It really depends on how aggressive a combo you want btw.....the right cam for you might be the wrong cam for someone else and visa versa

Best handled in a phone call usually but lets take it to email first

Anything worth doing is worth doing well. Build it right the first time....its alot cheaper than building it twice!!

A 234/238 114 type of cam would work wonders in a 383. Aim for like 11.5:1 CR and a tight quench. You'd be doing well.

Cam Motion would be my choice. They can do whatever you want on billet cores.

If you do Cam Motion Low Lash Solid Roller (which I'd do over a hydraulic roller - no contest), add 5 degrees. 8 for a typical solid roller.

So a 239/243 114 would be the choice. .650/.630 lift with T&D Shaft Rockers and Morel UltraPro lifters and the biggest pushrod that will fit. You'd be looking at pushing 530-550 with the MMS 220s with a Mamofied FAST 102 and 1-7/8" headers and a lightweight clutch/rearend assembly in an M6.

This is all really great information and appreciate everyone who has chimed in. There are some really knowledgeable people in this forum! I took the leap and contacted Tony Mamo to help me complete my build. Basically all I need now are LSX intake, CAM, rockers, lifters and rods. So, I'm now going from a semi-budget build to an over-budget one. Isn't this always the case .
