I am interested to see how this does with those heads. I am looking to get this same short block and I also have the prc 5.3 heads 58cc. I will be going with a smaller cam with no nitrous.

Heads are holding it back if you're picking up 160HP on a 200 shot.

Update : got to the track, weather has been horrible we had to break between sprinkles , the test results got me thinking bout my cam decision , may change it out to a NA cam, here it is
Just for comparison I will list my old set up car weighs 3890 with me in it

Old setup 346 ls1, prc stage 2.5 5.3 heads, ls6 intake, 239/242 111, na 114 mph @ 12.1 , 200 shot 134mph @10.5

New 370 lq9 , prc stage 2.5 5.3 heads, fast 92/92, 236/250 114,
Na 117 mph @ 11.8, 200 shot 134.5 mph@ 10.47

It was painful to post the results, I now know why so many post never put in there track results , hopefully this will help others, that may be building something similar , forsake of argument this cam is designed for nitrous above a 200 shot , I will keep posting results as I go up in shot size, alway a work in progress

At least you mph was higher on the LQ9 na run. I an glad you posted you honest results. I am sure as the motor breaks in it will gain some more. Did you ever dyno it with the old setup?

I would spend more time looking at the heads and intake then trying to squeeze more out of the cam.
