Ported Heads Hype? Possible proof inside.

JS I am not worrying about the numbers too much. The car runs great and has no problems, really. I just wanted to throw this post up to get other peoples point of view.
J-Rod ported heads may not be a waste. Buying a set of $2000 special hand ported heads compared to a $800 lower flowing one and when its all said and done you make the same power is something some people might be interested in. Its been 3 combos BTW lol (3 sets of heads and about 5 cams).

Cats are a big restriction no matter who's you are using. Take them out and you will find some of that missing power. The cams do make a bigger difference then the heads, but it is the matched combo that will shine.

Don't gut the cats. Pick up some small used pup cats and gut those and weld a through pipe. That way you still have your cats if you don't like the fumes or need to go in for a smog check.

I started the thread below and I am the lowest H/C dynoing car lol....I am also the only one running cats hmmmmmmmmmmm. Either this winter or next spring I will look into bypassing the cats somehow. I guess if you have cats or something else restricing flow you dont need a set of higher flowing heads.
