Default Stroker help - will this rod work

Hi All. This is a GM question although not strictly a Chevy so don't hate. I'm wondering if this LSx rod will work in a Buick 455 stroker project:

http://www.ebay.com/itm/Eagle-H-Beam...-/190781630941

The main question I have is will the small end survive being opened up to the Buick pin size of 1.00" (from 0.927").

Operating conditions will be no more than 6000 rpm, approx. 600/600 hp/ft-lb, heavy piston (about 975g).

I plan on offset turning the crankpin down to 2.1, widening the crank sides, and running the LS rod bearing.

Any help is appreciated.

I would not. You will be cutting .037" per side on the small end and running a piston more than twice as heavy as the typical LS1 piston.

Cutting crank pin should not be a problem but you need to make sure the big end widths match the crank.

Prob can work with custom .927 pistons.
