Long tube headers as others have mentioned would be a large help in the torque and HP department.

If that is the cam I think it is, the power curve really doesn't match well with the 4.10's. So a cam and headers would help a lot.

Did they also do away with the visual inspection, i.e., can you run headers or do you need to pull them for inspection?

How many miles on those cats ? Just gutting mine made a world of horses on a stock Trans Am. My f-150 just about stopped running because of those things getting plugged up over the years.
