Which Valvesprings Do I Have?
Check these out. I can't tell what valve springs these are. I bought them used - billed as "beehive LS6" springs. I expected them to be blue in color.
This appears to be a green or blue stripe.
I've searched, but I've gotten no definitive answers...

I removed a valve cover from my car and found they are green stripe springs. 03-04 LS6's have green stripe springs. Looking through posts on LS1tech regular fbody LS1 doesn't have any stripe (few had a brown stripe but for all practicle purposes none do.)
I would attempt to cross check the part number of the GTOs valve spring with the LS6.
none the less, changing valve springs would be a good idea anyway. Plenty to choose from, go search on ls1tech.com

The orange and green stripes are the ones before the yellows...still LS6 and are just a tad different than the yellows.
I am asking opinions on the retainers.......has anyone used the stock LS6 retainers and if so do they fit tighter than the 60*V6 stockers...or is the only other alternative the 90.00 Comp set with Comp Locks........?
