Cam clearance for LQ4

Cam clearance for LQ4

Quick question, will this cam (Duration at .050 - 230/234
Lift with 1.7 - .612/.595) fit into my LQ4 w/ 243 heads with no clearance issues?

Or will i have to fly cut or anything?

It most likely will fit without fly cutting. However, other things like head gaskets come into play. To be 100% sure you should measure your PTV clearance.

Thanks guys, the Lobe separation is 113, and the intake center line is 109

As long as the heads have not been milled more than .020", I would run that cam with confidence if installed correctly.

What if they have been milled exactly .020?

I would expect you will be okay milling .020" with those head on an LQ4, but that does not mean you should not check before you run it. Checking is always the way to go.
