Default LQ9 oil and water temps at idle

Just wrapping up my LS swap into my K5 and decided to let the engine settle in a little today and idle for a while. I had the fans hooked up so wanted to see how long it would take to get to temp.

The fans come on at 180 and 190 I believe and watching the water temp gauge that seemed right. Temp kept climbing though and seemed to get to about 210 when I shut it off. (No exhaust and long tubes equals crazy loud)

Thing is the oil temp barely moved. I will be checking the wiring on it but I expected the water to reach op temp quicker than the oil but what should my oil be at after a few min of idle.

Ps. I pulled the cooler and am running an oil block off

It takes a while for the oil to warm up. You temp probably kept raising because you have some air in the system.
