Default installing viton valve seals

hi i just installed a new set of dual springs with viton valve stem seals and i didnt tap them on with a socket, just slide them on with my fingers, I installed them about two weeks ago and I have noticed some smoke at WOT should I take the springs off and tap them on or just leave them?

They need to be tapped on. A socket and dead blow work great.

I would definitely go back and check the valve seals, more than likely they aren't going to be reusable so pick up another set before you tear everything apart. I have always tapped them on with a valve seal tool I made but you can also use an appropriate sized socket.

12mm socket and a couple light taps.
