Unhappy LS1 wont crank

I have a '01 ws6 6-speed. Leaving work and tried to turn on the car. All I hear every time I turn the ignition is a thud. I fear that I might have lost oil causing the engine to break? I checked the oil and it was low, not empty but low nonetheless. The battery should be good its a year old. I don't hear clicks just a "thud" sounds. The pic is the cluster when the ignition is ON position. Had to leave the car at work. The low oil, security, check engine, check gauge light are on.

I would try pulling the plugs and trying to turn the engine over with a ratchet.

I am not sure if this matters but I am sure the clutch is starting to go. When I press it it would make sound vibrating/grinding noise. When the car would be in idle sometimes it would make a squeal and quickly go away when I pressed the clutch.

Pic of the cluster doesn't give any info. Its not running. Pull the spark plugs and try to crank it again with no plugs in it. You may have a water or fuel leak filling a cylinder and hydro-locked it.

And change the clutch.

I put oil in the engine and moved the car. It started back up once I did that. I let it run and drove fine other than the clutch issue. I honestly think I have a bad starter. I am gonna replace the started tomorrow. I have no idea how to replace a clutch, including what ever makes the clutch pedal/clutch work lol.

Are you saying you put oil in the engine or in the clutch res? How low was the oil?

Depending on how mechanically capable you are, it may be something you want to have done. Then again, if you never do it you will never learn.

Yeah I agree bad starter - solenoid makes the thud noise, but contacts in solenoid that close the circuit for the starter motor are bad?

I put oil in the engine. The car starts up fine now, and I also put in a new starter. The only issue now I have is that noise or grinding noise that I hear when I press the clutch. As someone said its time to replace the clutch. I've been looking at vids on how to do it and I might be able to do it, but with winter around the corner and no garage I am gonna have to wait till it gets warmer.
