Default 2005 CTS-V 450 rwhp N/A

I am in a quest to get my 100% stock cts-v to 450 rear wheel horse power. I have read all the stickies and feel like I have learned a lot from them. I have a basic build in mind and would like to know your opinions on it. I don't have everything down to the point yet. If you would suggest something else, please let me what and why? I love learning especially if it helps me. This is what I have planned so far:

OBX 1 7/8 headers x pipe and some sort of mufflers(options?)
Send my 243's to TSP for their 2.5 port work
Cam and supporting mods(what would you recommend based on this setup)
4.10 gears
Fast 90/90 un ported(is there a big difference between unported and ported)
CAI
Full bolt on's

Are the AFR 205's ALOT better than ported ls6 heads? If so would it be worth it to sell mine and buy a set of those?

So do you think this is reasonable? Im more than likely going to go with this, just trying to see about where I would be. 450 would be great but close would be great too. Again, I would love to hear all opinions. thank you.

with the LS6 (not LS2) CTS-V and those mods, you'll probably get ~420hp to the wheels, maybe 440 if it were the LS2.

BTW, I have an 05 V, forged, Trickflow 220 heads, decent cam, FAST 102 and 90mm TB, YellaTerra 1.7 rockers, BTR lifters, Kooks 1 3/4 headers, Magnaflow catback, etc. and made ~415hp. Some loss b/c of the forged bottom end

Another note: I believe, stock, people have dyno'ed our platform and gotten like 333hp to the wheels, so even at 420hp, you're still talking about gaining like 90hp to the wheels.

Definitely AFR 205s, Cam Motion Titan IV Cam, & Ported (MAMOFIED)
FAST 92, Ported 90TB, 30+ better then ported 243s & unported Fast.
Difference between ~450 vs maybe 420 with ported (bigger) 243s
With 220+ CCs and a bigger cam with less Driveability and throttle
Response, especially in a heavy/plush Caddy.
Just my .02

Another quick note to answer your OP:

AFR205's are better than ported 243, but all depends on the porter. And there are even better aftermarket heads out there, so your budget comes into play. Mamo 220's and trick flow 220's are right now looking like kings of the hill. How much better? 10-40 HP, again depending on who ports the 243's.

Your 4.10 gears will make the car feel faster, but dyno lower. Better gearing is worth quite a lot.
