Default Any way to check the camshaft bore for out of round?

I have an LQ4 with a bad cam bearing. I know what caused this, someone slathered red RTV on the pickup tube, it got sucked into the oil pump relief and it stuck open, that allowed the cam bearing to come out.

I would like to build the LQ4, but I need to know if the bore is out of round and I have absolutely no idea on how to do this. Just knock in a bearing and see if it fits?
