Push rod question
Push rod question Ok im new to the ls world..... Ive searched and just needing some advise on a correct push rod length.. Ok here we go. Running lq4 with 317 heads. Had heads milled 0.30 with tsp dual valve springs im using a tsp torquer v2 cam 232/234 .600/.600 lift.... Going to install ls7 lifters while heads are off Maybe somebody can help out a newbie here..
Questions are will 7.4 push rods work?can i make up the difference with a thicker head gasket? If so what kind? I already have tsp 7.4 pr and hate to have to purchase another set

Pushrods need to be the correct length. Too long and you may break something - too short and you will have a valve train noise and lose power. Measure for the correct length and then order them that length. Google "measure pushrods for ls1 engine" and you'll have plenty to read.

Verdad Gallardo Gonna order a push rod checker. .that 20 bux will save my motor it's well worth it. Don't know how to use it but I've saw a few you tube vids that explain it so I'll give it the old college try
