Sorry I just seen your update, I was surprised to see the chains were all updated to the same number also,ls7 lifters are the same as the GM performance lifters also, are just reboxed truck lifters.Oil pumps for the ls6 are what you get when you order any pump als.Except for the DOD stuff.I've been with GM for 25 years. Its amazing what you find when you bug the parts manager.LOL

That's good to know considering they put a new oil pump in as well. Are you saying the Ls6 pump is made in place of the ls1?

I have the Delphi Ls7 lifters and they're apparently the same as a.c. delco ls7 lifters. But the delcos are more expensive.

I'm going to gm tomorrow to get all these model numbers and compare them myself.

Yeah if you order an ls6 pump you get the same pump as any non DOD engine. I saved a few bucks buying the GM performance head gasket kit also.Hope this helps ya out.

I didn't realize they were the same either. news to me. But I DO know that auto stores would still sell the LS1 chain when I was building mine. It was $73 for the LS1 set and $38 for the LS2 set for a 06 GTO.

Cloyes 3220. Stronger chain for half the price.

I don't think he was being rude. Sarcasm and joking doesn't always translate in writing. There is a HUGE misconception that the truck parts are crap and the car parts rock. People forget that the trucks are designed with a 300,000 mile life expectancy. Give us the benefit of the doubt - we're honestly trying to help. In general, I try to assume the best possible interpretation when reading people's posts. It's usually the correct one.

Another example is people will commonly ditch the truck intake for the LS1 intake, because the truck intake is "ugly" so it must flow worse, but in truth, the truck intake flows very well. One of the best factory intakes is the trailblazer supersport. Better than the LS1,2,6 intakes. Not quite sure how it compares to the LS3 or LS7, but I bet it's pretty close.
