Good info. I like the math method at half lift to get you there.

Used this thread as a reference to measure my rocker sweep pattern last night. I have the 1.8 ratio YT's with 10mm bolts, thought it worth mentioning the shims appeared to be 1.5mm (I double checked by stacking ten and measuring that, definitely came out bang on 1.5cm).

I only mention as the 0.062" mentioned in the OP would be 1.575mm, so possibly the shims are slightly different now.

My wipe pattern with 1 shim, they're a little towards the exhaust and a maybe a bit wide (I'll be running a little over 0.650" lift so perhaps they're not excessively wide?)

To sanity check I put another shim on just to confirm the sweep moved more to the exhaust side and it did, although tightened up a touch

Just wanted to say thanks from across the pond for the thread, was really helpful Will be referring back for pushrod length and making up a little measuring jig once the 12" calipers arrive.

Mine's a 402 with a Mamo top end, hand finished MMS235s, the 1.8 YTs, Tony specced the cam etc. and just put a deposit on an RPS BC2.

Mamo is a dangerous man to talk to on the phone LOL

I thought more pictures may be useful to future readers, and wanted to get your guy's input on the patterns to check I'm reading things right

Previous image above was with the factory YT 1.5mm shims (apologies for all the metric, ~0.060" shims), so I got a bunch of 0.25mm (~0.010") shims and set about trying to improve it. It was a bit to the exhaust side, so I jumped down to 1mm of shim (0.040") and got this:

Still a bit to the exhaust and perhaps a little wide. Jumped down to 0.5mm (0.020") and got this:

Comfortably around the centre point, but really wide and I felt I'd probably gone bit too far here, so went to 0.75mm (0.030") of shims and got this

I'd perhaps put a bit too much blue on there which had stacked up either side of the wipe, but it looks good and central and fairly tight. I attempted to roughly measure it and it looks about 1.5mm (0.060"). I'm running a little over 0.650" of lift, so is that a fairly reasonable pattern? I couldn't get a decent viewing angle to really get a feel for where on the tip the roller is at peak lift, I'll probably re-blue it tonight and try again just to verify it wasn't a fluke. I mic'd the shims and they came to about 0.8mm in reality, I imagine tolerances stacking up (as it's 3 x 0.25mm washers).

Appreciate any thoughts / critiques

So turns out instead of needing to fuss about getting a 20mm M10 shim, of which there are none unless custom made, you can use the standard 16mm OD m10 shims and put them on top of the rocker pedestal instead.

They fit perfectly inside the recess in the rocker shaft, and they're available off the shelf in all sorts of thicknesses (shims in the right hand rocker)

AWESOME INFO , this thread is perfect timing cause i just opened up these MMS YT and getting close to this step , i just got the cam in and mms oil pump on just now , getting lifters and heads ready and prepped , just like DARTH_V8r says in the start of thread "I cannot stress this enough. Work with a good vendor. You are making an investment in your vehicle’s performance and longevity if done right". TONY IS ALOT OF HELP ! second to none cause i would not have took this build on all by myself in my garage without him as my vendor and support , few pics of current status, sorry op not trying to intrude or hijack on thread just perfect timing finding this now
