Default Cam Suggestions???

Hey guys, help me determine which cam I'm going to want for my set up. Right now I'm just going to stay on stock cubes and stock bottom end, with full bolt-ons, N/A. I've already got comp 918s in the heads so I want something that will be compatible with those, and won't wear them out. I had a T1 in the car but sold it because I was thinking about getting rid of the car, but now I've decided to keep it. I may search for that cam again because it felt like it had really good power. I don't want a cam that is too lopey but I don't mind getting some of that good cam lope at the same time. I also want a cam that will be great as an everyday cam with very few track trips (maybe once or twice a year). I also don't want to worry about tuning the car right away either. Is the T1 cam still the best cam for what I'm wanting? Or are there some other good options?

TIA for the help,
Ryan B

BTW - This is what the cam sounded like through my random tech exhaust and this is about as lopey as I would want the cam to be but a little less lope wouldn't be bad either.

So does the lack of replies indicate that I should just try finding another T1 or a B1???

The 224 was another cam on my list. How well does that cam drive?

it drives great and is very streetable. but you can make more power with a bigger cam and still have the same streetablility, i mean ppl are daily driving the g5x3 cam and thats welll over 230 duration. so dont be scared to get something bigger just talk to allen futral and he can select a cam for you that will drive great and make alot more power than that T1

I'm not interested in spending the extra money in upgrading my springs, fly-cutting my pistons, and getting a full tune for 15-20 extra HP right now. I have a new born baby who will be riding in the car ocasionally so I want it to really be a daily driver, not just a race car that I happen to drive every day. My goal is to be in the 11s but nothing more (11.99 will do) I'll leave the bigger cam to the 402 that I'm going to build later on but right now i'm thinking budget and great streetability.

Any other good mild-aggeressive cam choices???

I'd like something between 220 and 224 duration, between .550 and .580 lift and no less than a 112 LSA. I like the TR 224 and 222, MTI B1 and T1, but throw some more good ones out there as well if there are any other good options.

BTW-Budget is a key here, I'm wanting to spend no more than $250-$300 for cam and installation (that includes everything necessary to get the car driving right too).

with that budget only a used 224, or B1, T1, small comps grind would fit the price range.

For your goals it would be hard to beat a TR224 114. But if you find a C1 or C2 used for a good price, those cams would work for you also.
