I decided to go with the BTR stage 2. Only 4 degrees overlap. Drives very good. Broad torque curve. I probably give up a few hp on top compared to the stage 3 but street manners are almost stock. I can even run 6th gear at 1200 rpm on the highway.

Can you list the supporting mods? Are you on stock heads? I was thinking a stage 2 cam with headers and exhaust at some point. How much power does does just a cam (average cam like btr stage 2) no heads and exhaust make on a stock LS1

I have TSP stage 1 243 heads, Dorman LS2 intake, 92mm TB, 85mm MAF, stage 2 clutch, headers, catted y and TSP exhaust.

Cam only would probably make about 365 hp, add the heads, intake and headers and you'll be over 400.

Today I noticed that BTR has updated their LS1/2/6 cams recently, it seems they've added a few degrees of duration to the exhaust and added a little bit of lift to both intake and exhaust.

I think he's working with a new cam grinder who has some cool lobes.
