Thumbs up Milled heads with cam questions

Im in the process of installing my ls3 top end on my ls2. I bought used PRC 66cc heads. Stock LS3 heads are 69.4cc's So they have had about .030 taken off of them. I took the heads to the machine shop today to have them milled just to make sure they are flat so I assume they will take another .005 off of them or something.

Im using an LS7 cam Specs are 211/230 .558/.558 120 LSA

Should i be worried about PTV with a cam that small? I know that I didnt have PTV issues before when they were milled about .030 but I had to take them back off due to a leaking head gasket.

What do you guys think??

When in doubt it is always best to measure but if everything you have come up with is correct. PTV shouldn't be an issue.

Thank you,

Well I didnt measure when I first put the heads on when they were milled between .025 and .030 but I ran the motor and also turned the motor over while watching the valvetrain. never noticed a problem with the valves hitting and the motor idled quiet and smooth. I would doubt another .005 would cause me any issue but I dont know a whole lot about cam specs. Ive heard that valve events are much more important than lift when it comes to PTV clearance
