Mahle pistons from ebay?
Getting ready to pull the trigger on parts for my 450Rwhp build. Wanted to refresh the bottom end (while trying to avoid as much machine shop cost as possible) and found these on eBay:
not-a-sponsor.com
Anyone ever use mahle pistons? For something as light as a DD at 450Rwhp would I really need to go with something more expensive?

I've been told by builders that they will be even louder than the stockers during 'piston slap' warm up, due to their even shorter than factory skirts (OHH LA LA ), despite their Grafal coatings, but I'm not sure that would stop me from using them, even IF it were true.

As it is the engine doesn't really slap much when it's cold, even in sub-freezing temps. I'm going to be using a different shortblock though so I guess time will tell.
