anyone ever changed rod and main berings?

anyone ever changed rod and main berings? without dropping the motor??? we were going to use a bracket to hold the motor up and drop the k-member and take the pan off and check them.

Re: anyone ever changed rod and main berings? Its going to be fairly difficult to change the mains, since you'll have to pull the crank out to change the top bearings. You might as well pull the motor and then plasti-gauge the bearings to check the tolerances.
