222/224 566/568 lift 112LSA
This the cam i'm thinking( well i already ordered it but i can cancel it)
heads r done up valve springs tit. retainers.etc..
milled .025
LT headers
ls6 intake
A4 vette
is this cam kinda mild?
Can i go with much more and still not have a emissons problem.
is see some people going 230/230 with 580+ lift
what gives??? I thought the cam i picked was pretty radical,,,i guess not..any thoughts..

BTW...Aren't most states making people deal with emissions???I'm sure i can get around it if i have to (collector plates) by what the hell is everyone else doing??

If u want to pass an inspection, go to a local garage and bring a friend with you. It would help if his name was Ben franklin. Works for me every year.

Re: 222/224 566/568 lift 112LSA
hey hey,,,,
Maybe i'm lost but i usually know away around all kinds of shi$ but here in ohio its not a local garage doing this stuff.
Its state employed centers ((yes there 8.50/Hr. workers)i'm sure but at the same time i didn't even think about having them meet Ben.....
I don't see them being able to do it....
Don't you have to run on a dynomat with exhaust/visual inspections (sniffers) in your area???

Why not go with a single pattern cam?
You might be able to go a little bigger but then you may run into P-V clearance problems.
I am running a 224/222 .568 112 LSA. It's very streetable and has some lope.
I would have gone bigger but didn't feel like cutting valve reliefs in the pistons. Plus I am still on stock tuning for now.

That cam sounds like a good choice to me . . . I wouldn't go with any more than that if you have to pass emissions. Even with this cam, you will have to make some adjustments with LS1edit to get through emissions testing. Which lobe type did you order this cam with?

Viper-----
I talked to a friend of mine at the BMV today..
She told me just to apply for collector plates and i will get them with no problem......
I have personal plates (ULL LOSE) and she said i still can keep the personal plate but they will be collector plates....Sounds to me like i do that if i don't pass
At the same time i'm ok this year it will be next year 04 that i'll have to retest..
Let me know what happens with you when you go and test,,,,just curious..

Sorry Fellas. In NY it is still done the old school way. I know NJ has the same thing. Guess where I won't be moving any time soon. Good Luck with the setup.
