Default Advice chime in!

Ok guys, so i have been researching for a bit now and can't decide. My car is going twin turbo soon. (04 gto) Looking to be around 650-700hp max. Should i upgrade just rod bolts and pistons and have everything balenced. Or should i upgrade rods and pistons? Or what do you recommend?

I would do rods while your in there. Make a fresh engine.

Then you can take that engine past 700hp later on down the road if you wish, keep the options open.

Ya, haha I have a feeling I may up the power at some point. Do you guys like scat rods? Maybe use scat rods and je pistons? I'm not sure. What options do you recommend.

I've used eagle h-beam rods and diamond Pistons in the past.

Most aftermarket pistons are usually made of 2618 aluminum so they are all similar in that regard.

Wiseco pistons are very good off the shelf. Come with the ring package too. Around $700-750. Then you can grab some Scat, Manley, K1, or Compstar H-Beam rods. Compstar probably the best there, but most expensive. Get with ARP 2000 rod bolts.
