BTR stage 3 what to Expect
Going to be installing a BTR stage 3 in my Daily Driver LS1 camaro, 6 speed car. I only live 4 miles from work so don't care to much about the drivability. Could i break the 400whp mark with this cam only? I've been debating of picking up some 243's but trying to find something local that are ready to bolt on. Also doing bigger LT's 1 7/8's, FTP 98 mm lid, already has ls6 intake.

My car has the BTR stage 3 cam and it drives nicely. It should work very well wit 4:10's
Mine was a bit sluggish down low with the 3:42's.
400whp is right in line, possibly a little more. Mine is tuned SD and my only complaint is the 1100ish rpm bucking. That will be addressed soon enough with the tuner.
Just installed a FAST 92mm, and back to the dyno it goes.

Depends. Dynos read all over the place. The numbers from the Dyno don't mean anything compared to the numbers at the track.
You could get a happy dyno and read pretty high, you might be bummed out. My car with a 224r cam and 1 3/4 headers with a loudmouth II made 370/365

Thats what i like to hear! Ive heard good things from it to. Was a little scared to jump to a stage 4 as i plan on doing heads and an intake maybe next year. Im debating on just leaving the stock heads or pulling them and finding some stock 243's. It seems every time a set pops up for sale i don't have the money. We shall see.

I have the BTR Stage 4 in mine (LS3). Drives nice and has some great power up top. Like said above, 4.11 gears are what will really wake the car up with bigger cams.

What to expect: Well, first off, you may need a change of pants once you hear and drive the car. Second, you may want to get a second job so you can afford all of the finer things you're going to want to purchase next, like TFS 215cc heads, FAST 102mm intake, Nick Williams 102mm TB, possibly a Nitrous Outlet or Nitrous Express 102mm plate kit, etc.
In all seriousness though, you should be at, or above, 400rwhp with that setup. Have fun with it.

Also, RotP, I found your Viking coilover settings a few days ago on a thread and dialed them in on mine. Car hooks better than ever now!

Yeah man they've been awesome and bumps no longer make the 9 inch axle tubes slam into the exhaust pipe
Haven't had a chance to run with them at the track, but I've been looking at a Racestar setup similar to yours. Does your front end lift up a lot when you give it a hit? With the Rebound at 0 and Compression at 15, mine actually lifts a little less than before (R=10 C=7)

I can tell the front end is lifting and transferring weight to the rear, but as to how much it's lifting, I'm not really sure. I do know that with the settings I have now, the rear hooks hard and it gets out of the hole really well. I may play around with the front settings some more, but I'm pretty content with the rear settings. What I didn't know until a few months ago was that the rear end squatting is not a good thing. I had always thought you wanted the rear end to squat, but after reading a few threads and talking to a few people, I learned that's not the case. With the settings I had before, the rear end would squat quite a bit, but now it's fairly stiff. Let me know how those settings work out at the track.

Mine made 402hp unlocked and 540/508 on a conservative 150 shot tune. And that's with 241's and a LS6 intake!

See I thought the same thing but with a stiff rear, even cruising around is better now. I am going to get some slicks on it soon, but I'm still on the stock driveshaft, so that needs to change as I've been putting it off. If you find a sweet spot for front settings let me know! I'll do the same back. Right now I am very content with the rear settings. I suppose the front shouldn't lift much if the rear isn't squatting.
