Default Will stock lifters be fine?

I couldn't find an exact answer. I have a 99 SS with 36k miles. Will the stick lifters be ok for the GT12 cam (lift of .614 and .621)? I really don't want to pull the heads. I always hear the engine doesn't last as long after you pull the heads.

You probably have the older style LS1 lifters but I've run the updated lifters (the ones people call LS7 lifters) with some pretty hefty cams.

However, their is no truth to the motor not lasting as long once you pull the heads off. The only way that might be possible is with a higher mileage motor where you freshen up the heads and not the bottom end.

pulling the heads has absolutely nothing to do with an engine
giving up after that. barring any re-install mistakes, it doesn't
hurt a thing.

They should work as well as the LS7 lifters.
