hi guys i want to no if tea stg 2 243 heads mill to 59cc work on a 03 z06 vette with cr to run pump gas and will the valve clearence be ok

How much did you have milled and what thickness is you head gaskets ? The min. piston to valve clearance is .080"int & .100"ext.and you will need shorter pushrods with shaved heads . if every thing is good ,you should be fine with premium gas and maybe need a few degrees of timing pulled, with a hand held programmer

I run pump gas(93) and I'm real close to 12 to 1. No knocks yet! That's with a specked cam from Martin@Tick.

Martin designed my cams also, cant go wrong there for sure.

To make sure you are OK with the compression ratio and pump gas, you need to calculate your dynamic compression ratio.

You want to keep youar dynamic ratio under 9.0:1 and preferably around 8.5:1

The answer can vary greatly based on the cam you have...

It will be perfectly fine with a stock cam, but at the same time valves will smash into pistons with a decent cam.

So tell us what you have?

im selling the heads to a guy with a vette and wanted to make sure it would fit before i did he has stock cam for now but will change later and i think the ssht cam will work fine
