Default New engine ideas

Hello, I threw a rod on my ls1 2000 camaro ss and need a new engine. I have an open slate and about 10k to throw at it. Looking for just about as much hp as I can get. Does anyone have any cool new or interesting builds? Anywhere for me to start? Still looking to drive on the streets.

Have thought about the 427 LS3 blueprint crate motor. then putting some extra into it.

Any other ideas or advice would be appreciated and welcomed.

looking for high hp and possibly boost, supercharger or turbo or procharger. or a good na build, open slate here.

A crate motor will never make the power you can make building one. It really depends on your goals but a cammed LS7 would defiantly be wild for any application.

I'll admit that I'm notoriously bad at estimating build costs, 10-11k on engine, how much hp could I reasonably expect? I just need to know how much longer I'd need to save up to achieve my goals...really want some where in the 800-1000 hp. (I know for a 1000 I'd need more $$)

If you are really looking for 800 to 1000 hp, and are asking the question you are asking,
you need to talk to a professional builder, get a plan together and stick with it. And if you go that route I think you would be safe with starting with about double what you have now.
But that depends on your resources, capabilities, and so much more.
And remember you just can not pull a 350hp engine out and stick a 800hp engine in, and
start it up and go cruising you need to think about the rest of the vehicle.
clutch or converter, will your trans hold up, will your fuel delivery feed it? How bad has the
rear end been abused, how are you going to plant all of the new power to the ground?
Just saying lots of things to think about, tons more than I have listed I'm sure.
Anyway make a build thread when you start and take plenty of pictures, we all like pictures. Good luck

I already have the transmission and rear end and suspension set up, I was more asking to see if anyone had any unique ideas for a build, or anything maybe I just hadn't thought of. Or any good crate motors that could look into.

Also interested in seeing what alot of people on here would do with 10-15k and a blank canvas. Stuff other than a lq9 and a turbo.

I would just find an LS2-3 block (or an ERL or RED sleeved block) forge it, and put a procharger or something on it and call it a day.
