Default Cam Specs

Hey guys I was just wondering how big of cams people are putting in their LS1s? I'm about to put a a lingenfelter cam, valve springs, pushrods, and dyno tune on mine and was seeing how big I can go to still be streetable? I have a 3000 stall converter with a 100 shot of nitrous.

With a 3000 stall, i wouldnt go that big.

Go with a good ol 224/224 cam. If you want more cam, get a bigger stall.

So you think like a .581/.588? Or smaller than that?

lift is nearly irrelevant, duration and valve events are what matter

I would look towards something like the Cam Motion Titan 2 or Titan 3 with your converter. Give them a call and they can help you out.

Would you suggest anything bigger than a 224/224 with the 3000 stall/built Trans and everything else stock other than the SLP lid?

If you also have stock exhaust manifolds instead of longtube headers I would go smaller but def not larger.

Be aware any cam option is going to need a tune.

Nothing worse than an overcammed car that is slower than stock and much much slower than a well setup small cam car.

Well I'm having DBR Performance dyno tune it for me after they do the cam, springs, pushrods, rockers, and tranny. I plan on getting catback but not headers right now

An EPS 218/230 would be awesome with the stock manifolds and 100 shot
