Need to know if these heads are good for my application? Mods are in my sig. I plan on using a TSP 225/225 .589 112 LSA cam. Here is the description of the heads. Please help me out on this as I really have no idea and need to move on this fast in order to get an awesome deal. Thanks

[B]The heads are the 6.0L casting #317. They flow 295 at .550 lift and have Ferrea 2.02/1.55 valves with CC918 springs and Ti retainers. They have been milled and have combustion chamber volume of 63.5cc which yields a C/R of approx. 10.6:1.

 

295 cfm at .550 lift is good,what does it look like after that,your lift on your cam is .589,so i would check to see what it flows up to that.

 

Yes they would work. That is a good flow number for mid lift.

well the only problem I can see is if those heads have been milled to get the chambers down to 63.5cc's they have had about .050ish knocked off of them and with a .589 lift you are subject to piston to valve clearance problems.

I am not at the office where I can double check my numbers but it will be close. I am sure some else will chime in on this and say yea or nay on the P to V issue.

 

They are decked .030

 

no there not. or if they are the CC isnt 63.5. if they were milled .030 it would put you at stock compresssion. the 6.0 heads have a 71.06 CC chamber to start with. if they really do have a 63.5 CC then they've been milled ~.053

yes decked/milled are referring to the same thing. i honestly wouldnt buy anything from someone who couldnt give me the exact specs. especially with heads were clearances are crusial.

 

Milled is reffering to the heads,
Decked is the block.
