Broken valve spring: will it be obvious?

Broken valve spring: will it be obvious? Fired up the car after winter storage and she didn't want to purr very nicely. It could be bad gas (even though I used a stabil), but I'd like to rule out other things before I move it out.
I did have a few too many one night and try and rev the new build up before I had her warm, so i just want to be sure I didn't crack a valve spring.
I plan on pulling the covers to take a peak, but will a broken spring be noticeable? (I have BTR dual springs....)
