Ls1 engine code

Ls1 engine code I bought an LS1 many years ago and never did anything with it. It was a mock up display engine - so I was told. The engine code 12550573 does not come up anywhere I look. It has a CPC Engineering inspection tag and date from 10/15/94. The date code 8/9/94 and engine code is behind the flywheel. The pad on blocks left, back side says ' mock up' instead of a vin. type number. I know these were in development in 93-94 but can't find much info. Any ideas on this mystery motor??

Best bet would be to post photos of it since if it's a prototype then I feel finding any info on the web will be difficult.
