so..motor idea...
ok so ive been planning some more work on my camaro for this coming up winter. I have a mitsubishi 16G (TD05) turbo that ive rebuilt. I would love to install a much bigger compressor on it(20G) and build a aps style kit. using my stock manifolds and cutting the flanges or fabbing my own headers. my main focus is the engine, i have searched for a while now and wanna run some ideas by you guys, i would like to keep her a 346...
ARP rod bolts
LS9 cam
LS6 pcv with oil catch can
RHS pro elite LS7 heads
stock LS7 intake
bar link lifters
hardened pushrods
double roller timing chain
shaft mount rockers
i would like to do that first so i know the engine is setup for boost...
then i wanna use said setup with those turbos and duplicate the APS/incon TT kits. my questions how will that engine setup perform n/a?

You can literally skip every single thing you mentioned for a pair of 16G turbos.
If a customer came to me saying that he wanted half of that stuff for his build, I might consider smacking him LOL.

The real question is, is it really worth going super overkill on the heads, spending $3000 to gain 25-30 HP, when you can do the exact same thing with 2 extra PSI on a twin turbo setup?
Increasing boost doesn't cost any extra money, you know.

You can gain just as much power by turning up the boost, for free.
Why do I make 300 HP more than the old LS9 ZR1 on a little 5.3 with stock cathedral port heads? More boost. Could I have done it with aftermarket heads? Yes, and I would probably be making the exact same amount of power.
Yes, they will flow more. Yes, you will gain a little bit of power for the $3000 spent on heads.

When you need the CFM flow, you buy those heads. Like when you're trying to make 700+ N/A and you need a head that isn't a flow restriction.
Turbos don't work that way. You don't increase CFM with a turbo, you flow the same CFM but at a higher pressure, so your stock heads are just fine for a turbo build.
