I love my hot cam. I went with it for valve train reliability, and a good tourque curve for the street. I ported my stock 853's and it put down 391hp. and 391tq. Through a m6 and 3.91 gears. I know there are other cams that make more power but for what I wanted it's perfect. Your right it is an awesome sounding cam!

Don't buy a cam based on how it sounds. You don't want to be that guy.

You'll be happy with 799 heads and hot cam, I did the hot cam and 243 heads.Basically same heads, I was surprised how it drives and sounds

Hot cam and ported 243/799 heads is a proven street friendly combo. I think you could go a tad larger and pick up good gains without sacraficing any driveability. Btr stage 1 or titan 3 from cam motion come to mind. The ol proven 224/228 is no slouch either.
