Default Best combo head and cam?

I was wondering what a good head and cam would be for making 450 rwhp. Would the stock bottom end and stock 4l60e other than a 3500-4000 torque converter hold up? This is a daily driver and I would like some track days, also quite a bit of spirited driving on the streets.

Moved to internal engine section for you.

While I am here, this is an interesting video for you of my old 6 liter. It is in your desired range.

For 3k you get a good set of ported 243 heads with cam and an accessories. As long as you have good exhaust 450 rwhp is very doable. What intake do you plan to run?

If I get good enough heads and cam I would like the 102 FAST and 102 Fast Toys air lid. Have an SLP Loudmouth II exhaust right now.

My new heads (which are extremely affordable) would punch that number with the right set-up and complimenting mods. The package is the key.....everything must compliment and work well together to make it all happen....valve control is especially important and unfortunately an often overlooked item in alot of builds I see....it can hamper performance potential a great deal because it rears its ugly head as the engine is approaching peak power and beyond. Better combinations carry power well past peak....those always run the hardest due to the serious gains in average power that brings to the table

PM or email me for more info.....or pick up the phone

Here is a thread on my new MMS 223 heads.....worth a read if you have a few minutes

Regards,
Tony

That's more than enough for a nitrous setup, and just about enough for a cheap turbo setup.
