Default Replace my pistons, or not?

I will be tearing down my gen III soon and would like to know if i should reuse my pistons or replace them even if they look and inspect fine? is there a general rule on this? thanks.

Really depends on your future plans. There is nothing wrong with reusing the factory pistons if they check out to be fine during inspection. Whether you decide to replace them will really depend on what your goals are with the build and what you plan to throw at it later on.

Some guys are making 800+ hp on stock pistons, so if they are good its up to you really.

I just rebuilt a gen 4 6.0 that had 250k miles on it and reused the rods & pistons without issues.
