I just ordered a set of straub from tick performance. They are a decently new product with great reviews, even wth people coming from comp/BTR kits.

Also, the this gen 3 section just a couple threads down is a thread called straub bushings, has over 600 replies. The first few pages are a good read. It's what made me go towards them.

You can't go wrong with BTR or Straub, I personally have BTR on my car since they have excellent customer service.

none of them are a perfect solution. they all have their drawbacks but all are better than the factory pieces.

We are modifying OEM engines. Once we break the seal and add performance upgrades the life of the engine is shortened. The bushing trunnions are no different. They will need to be replaced at a given point, BUT you will will not have to worry about needle bearings finding their way to your oil pump and causing a catastrophic failure.

Instead of a plunge cut into the trunnion we now mill a flat in this area. It allows for all OEM and aftermarket bolt and stud kits to be used without having to trim bolt heads or nuts.

Whatever you do I do not recommended the summit kit. The stock bolts will have a rust ring just under the head of the bolt. I had to hand file all 16 bolts to get them to fit flush into the roller.

awesome, thanks! I ordered a set from tick. Looks gorgeous can't wait to get them installed along with my heads and cam. Will report with the engine noise, or lack there of. Soon enough.

We use bronze bushings and insert them into the rocker with polished trunions which utilize an oil retention grove. Much better than any of the other trunion upgrades.

I agree. I did not have the rust issue, but some of the trunions were not drilled correctly and the bolt would not go through. Also, the trunion itself is not hard enough for a bearing surface. These will be trash in not too many miles. Not only were they not hard enough, the bearing surface is not ground correctly and the finish sucks. It looks like somebody took 120 grit sandpaper and finished them. The bearing will eat that away in no time.

Here you are Sir:

PS stock rocker bolts work with our bushings/trunion upgrades
We have been using these for well over a year with zero issues and lots of happy customers
