I tried searching but maybe I worded it wrong or something...

I have a 2000 lq4 and I am putting a set of 2007 799 heads on it. While looking for head bolts I see there was a change in 04. So do I use the head bolts for the 07 heads I'm using ? Or the 00 block I'm using ?

The block year is what determines the bolts... You want pre 04 bolts or studs

You will use the early style bolts or studs because the block is a 2000.
