help identifying noise coming from engine
1. take off the belt and make sure the noise persist (rules out accessory)
2. inspect the flywheel using inspection plate (just in case, and its pretty easy)
3. Start pulling coilpacks one at a time and ensure the noise remains regardless
4. manually probe via stethoscope to determine is the noise is preferentially located on one side or the other
5. cup hands around portions of the exhaust system for leaks, when dead cold (no burns)
Wonder what causes this
About 6 per second. Times 60=360 per minute. 360 times 2=720rpm. Just a thought.
