Default Wiseco K1 408 kit

Hello all,

I talked to Wiseco today. I have a LQ4 that is ready for the stroker kit. Wiseco told me that the machine shop would need to chamfer the bottom of the cylinders for the stroker kit. What is she talking about? Is it for clearance of the stroker kit? Is it because the pistons come out of the bottom a little bit and need a taper for when then come back up in the cylinder? What should the PtW clearance be for a mild boosted(12-15psi) 408 with Wiseco 2618 pistons?

They're talking about deburring the bottom of the cylinders to remove the sharp edge left after boring/honing. The skirt comes out of the bottom, so if here's a sharp edge there it will wear the skirt out.

Wiseco will provide recommended PTW clearance with the pistons; just go by that.

Thats what I was hoping. I called the shop and asked them. The machinest said ya a chamfer is standard procedure. So thats good. But does it need to be an extreme chamfer? Or is a normal fine?

You just want to get rid of the sharp edge.
