Default lifter question

looking at buying a camshaft for a lq4 seller said cam is solid roller. my question is can I use hydraulic lifters?

Why honestly go through the trouble of getting a cam that is probably wrong to begin with, and then purposely use it wrong?

never never never use hydraulic lifters on a solid cam or vice versa.

Like others mentioned. In the long run you will be much better off purchasing something specifically for your application.

specs are what I wanted other than duration. duration was high. but was going in a drag engine. I'll just buy proper cam. thanks for info.

here are cam specs Duration @ .050" of 251/255 with .348"/.348" lobe lift and it is on a 107 lobe separation angle.

Duration means nothing in this circumstance, lobe profiles are typically very different between solid and hydraulic.
