Looking for advice with a lq4 cammed and mods
Hello everyone!
Right now i've assembled my LQ4 for my street 68 C-10, i put a 226/236 .525 @114 lsa cam, ported my heads and changed the springs, im thinking about running 125/150 hp of nitrous once in a while, my tunner said that i was going to need the TR6 spark plugs, but i read that the TR6 is a projected spark plug, in other posts recommend using the BR7EF, and is colder than the TR6, i use that truck for DD, and some guys said that with the BR7EF the motor tends to fail, also my tunner said that he recommended me a 450 l/ph fuel pump and 36-38 lb injectors, also, right now i have my shorty headers and im thinking to change them to large ones, but i dont know wich diameter to use 1 3/4 or 1" 7/8 do you guys have any recommendation? Sorry for my bad english, im from México, thanks

Go with the 1 7/8 headers as they have showed time and time again they make more power than 1 3/4. The 1 3/4 will have a little more room for install and will still be a huge improvement over the shorties. Tr6 plugs are very popular with the nitrous guys.

br7ef plugs are much colder, but they will work fine N/A. They are without a doubt the safer option for a 100+ shot of nitrous. They should daily fine, you might just have to change them a little more often.
The 1 7/8 on a 6.0 will work great, especially cammed with ported heads and nitrous.
The 450 lph fuel pump might actually be a little on the large side but that's ok. They're only marginally more expensive than a 255. A good walbro 450 is always safe insurance to make sure your fuel pump isnt the downfall of the engine. I don't know what size injectors you have but look the the duty cycle to tell the story. If they are maxxing out, go bigger. If they are making the power you want and you're only at 80% duty, there's no real need to change.
To sum up:
br7ef's will be fine
run the 1 7/8
upgrade the pump
only upgrade injectors when the duty cycle says to
