Haven't had any problems so far.

I had my limiter set at 6,800. My cam made peak power right around 6k, so pushing it the extra 400rpm to 7,200 would have been pointless.

I also threw some of the normal ARP rod bolts in my turbo 5.3 without resizing. Many times I bounced it off the rev limiter at 7k w/15psi. Just popped a cap off that motor and it looks great.

I will probably set my limiter lower with the 100% untouched SBE six liter

I think it's more of a liability concern with ARP. For what I'm doing, it shouldn't be a problem.

On my 2000 SS I ran the rev limiter at 6800 from 140k miles until around 175k then turned it down to 6700. The motor outlasted the car and I took it to those RPM's daily. I sold the car and it was eventually totaled with over 210k miles.

In my truck the rev limiter is set at 6500

With the arp rod bolts you should be way safe, as long as there are no problems from installing them and not resizing.

well, this thread makes me want to rethink my upgrading the valvetrain over christmas on the otherwise stock 99 c5. its paxton blown and still pulls hard at 6400. ive had it up to there when tuning but shift at 6100 now (a4). springs, rockers, pushrods etc. are "in the mail". the idea was to set the shiftpoint at 6600 and see how it goes.
