What material is the steam tube made of? Hi all,
This may sound nuts but what material is the lq4 steam tube made of? Reason being I drilled and tapped my stock steam tube fittings for 1/8 NPT and now want to weld the tubes shut. I am essentially making this out of the steam tube:

The tube ends are magnetic but seemed to drill way too easy, are they steel or am I going nuts here? I want to tig but may use silver solder. I am in Canada and those fittings are weeks away.
