Dry sump?
how far can you push a conventional wet sump oil system? I'm sure baffles will help tremendously but I was looking into drysump kits and boy are they expensive.
do you think a simple high pressure oil pump and baffled oil pan will handle it? This car will be a daily driver and will be pushed pretty hard on street.
any help is appreciated. Thanks

How do you plan on making 600hp with a 5.3 and still be daily driveable?

Unless your protouring vehicle is a dedicated road racing vehicle, I do not believe you will outrun the limits of a well thought out wet sump system. The Improved Racing crank scraper and baffles in a factory oil pan, or any other quality crank scraper and baffles in the factory pan for that matter, and a high pressure oil pump will be fine for most spirited driving/hooning/autoX.
If you want to go a step further, add an Accu-sump to the above combination.
If that still isn't enough, then you can step up to an extra capacity oil pan, and a high volume oil pump. Still using a crank scraper, and still using an Accu-sump.
If all of that still fails to provide adequate oiling in the turns, then you need to look into quality dry sump kits. But most people do not ever find themselves in competitive enough racing conditions to warrant even switching from the factory oil pan to a high capacity pan, much less actually needing dry sump.
