I did a whole lot of research before I went to tony. I learned how a stock rocker will effect a valve and how a roller will. Watched videos on it and read the forms. My car has been down for months now due to some castech 243 heads and the more i read the more i wanted to do it right and figured i would go ahead and upgrade also. So I contacted tony about the heads with intentions of going with stock rockers for a few months or so then changing them to rollers. After talking to tony we came up with a plan and I ended up going with the rollers. Like everyone else said if you go with any aftermarket heads you really need roller rockers.

well now ill be doing a custom grind cam from tony... I figured if im spending the money on heads i might as well get a cam that will work good with them, as well as the sound and performance I want in a cam!

Yeah I just saw that today. That was with a conservative tune also so I would think I would hit my goal no problem

its funny ive been been reading that you cant get good numbers off a 1 3/4 LT headers and once again i see a guy with some good numbers off them.if you have a nicely well matched combo you can do it.

well i got the cam in the car now, the specs are 235/240 .620/.615 113+3... ended up doing 56cc on the heads by the way they are beautifull! waiting on tony to get back with me on head gaskets. my pistons stick out .018 on driver side and .012 on passenger side so waiting on him to get back on which gaskets. also have to order some lifters soon. ill be going with Johnson lifters. figure id give an update.

Another Mamo build just hit high tens. Smaller cam too. You'll be really happy with this motor

And you're also seeing why it's so good working with tony. Think of how much research you'd have had to do to get so many answers.
