Default LS1 to 2004 Silverado swap help

Hello everyone, I am new here. I have been into racing my whole life but im not to knowledgible when it comes to swaps.

I am looking to build a fun work truck. I am looking at 2004 to 2006 Single cab silverados 2wd SWB. I have found one that has a v6 in it for 2000 dollars and I have also found another with the v8 but its 5k dollars. I know it will take extra time and parts to convert the v6 but will I still be ahead of the game or smarter to just pay more for the V8?

Also any advice about any part of the task im about to start will be great!

You will probably be better off with the V8. The wiring for the V6 won't work with the V8. You will have to do a good amount of wiring. I am sure it could be a little cheaper but the time and the gremlins you will encounter probably won't be worth it. You will also have to think about emissions. V8 to V8 will definately be easier.

5 grand for a V8? Those are 2000-3000 here.
I would spend a little more time looking for a V8 truck.
