What Cam 4 LQ4, with LS1 Springs?
Yes, I'm back, as the title says, looking for biggest cam I can run with the ls1 springs. I can't leave the stock lq4 cam in it, I need something, even if I buy another cam later. Will be running 317 heads, and a ls6 intake.
Thanks.
Thanks.

The stock LS1 springs are very nearly inadequate for a stock LS1 cam.
Back in 1999-2002 saw dozens of new LS1's with wavey lines on the dyno graph toward the end in upper rpm range. Valve train wasn't aways stable and some times valve float occured.
I would never use a stock LS1 valve spring in anything getting a cam. The LS6 spring is better and inexpensive. There too many too good choices for valve springs to use crappy stock LS1 springs.
