Water in Oil
So LQ4 6.0 swapped Trans am. The usual H/C/I. But last night we found water in the oil. Changed the oil. I think it figured out what the problem was. Someone put the coolant line coming out of the top of the block next to the head to the right of the throttle body onto one of the nipples on the intake manifold. So i think it was spraying water into the . Please give any knowledge you can. Anything helps. I can get pics later if I didn't describe it well enough.
So the steam tube hose was hooked up to a vacuum port in the intake manifold?? This is no good, but you would just burn the coolant getting sucked in. It would not contaminate the oil unless the water was getting past the rings. Did the car run like ****? I would bet you have a problem with the head gasket or something since you had the heads off. Did you make sure to clean out the head bolt holes in the block and get all the water out before torqueing the heads down? Did you make sure there were no knicks in the head surface before putting them on? I would say first things first, hook the steam tube up properly and see what happens.
