Default Prc as cast 225 heads with btr cam

Just wondering if anyone is running the prc 225 heads from Texas speed with a btr stage 3 camshaft on a ls1. If so, just curious on hp and torque numbers and how well these heads and cam will match up.

That's a darn good combo but piston to valve clearance should be checked
Without fly cutting the pistons those heads have larger than stock size valves but are rolled over a degree or two which helps
I'm sure others can chime in but I'm guessing it could rather easily make 425-450 RWHP with a decent intake and exhaust system

I wouldn't think clearance will be an issue at all, just as long as you don't go bonkers on the mill. I'd say you could expect to see between 430 and 440 rwhp (with stock intake/TB). If you have an aftermarket intake like a FAST or MSD, those numbers would increase by about 20 rwhp.

Im running those heads and a callies custom grind on my 382ci stroker. Ls6 intake and stock theottlebody that is choking the motor out. I made 470/460 on a very stingy dyno that was within 4hp of a mustang dyno lol

Thanks for the replies guys. I contacted Texas speed today and they said piston to valve clearance is actually greater than stock. They also said they typically see 7.475 pushrods with this setup. The car made 386wrhp 385 wrtq on a Mustang dyno. Im
hoping for roughly 430wrhp with the prc heads. Am I being reasonable with this number? Has ls6 intake, soon to be ported stock throttle body, long tubes, ORY, no cats, 3 inch exhaust all the way. Btr camshaft and voliant CAI.

I would think 430 would be pretty easily obtained. You haven't mentioned if you are m6 or auto? Will you mill the heads any?

My bad lol. Car is a 1998 trans am m6 car. Honestly I was thinking just running the heads right out of the box. This is my street/ run around car for nice days. Doesn't go the the strip and hasn't seen any sticky tires. Just a spirited daily with the occasional light to light race out here in mexico haha

I got ya. Tsp can mill them in house before they ship them to you. I would look into it. You could raise your compression a hair
