Not off topic, but what's it gonna take to get a M6 car into mid 11's? Mod's are in the sig, I plan on 12 bolt /4.30 gears, spec clutch, ripper shifter, subframes, shocks and springs over the winter. With the power that I have now, that should be enough to put it into the 12's anyway, I'm guessing a 12.6 or so. It ran 13.42 @108.4 memorial day weekend with stock f1 tires, spinning most of 1st and a good part of 2nd. I have the traction problem solved, but no track trips until I know that I will be able to make it home, e.t. streets + 10 bolt = hand grenade.

To answer the original question. I run MTI Stage 2E heads and the X1 cam (230/227 12)

In theory a good driver with the same HP should be able to run close to a A4 times. Like many have said, it will take patients and practice.

Full boltons, a set of 300+ cfm with good low lift flow numbers, a 90 mm tb and lsx intake, and cam with a lot of overlap, and good suspension should put cars at 3400 and below with an m6 in the 10s. In a 01 SS with stock 01 ls1 heads, m6, full bolt ons with my stock ls6 intake, stock rockers (now have Harland Sharp 1.7s), 17" zr1-s in front and corvette sized rotors, a 3550 raceweight, 16" e.t. streets, and a week 1.69 60' I went 11.62 at 117.98 shifting out of first and second at only 6200 or so. My cam is a 230/236 107lsa 107icl 574/572 cam. To go fast you have to be willing to deal with some big cam issues unless you want to build a big motor or go with a power adder. This is especially the case with a m6 as it takes pretty good mph (power) to get these cars to e.t.

This car is a daily driver and is really easy to drive although I have done quite a bit of tuning with ls1 edit.

My suggestion would be you need to also focus on drivetrain and suspension and expect to spend dollar for dollar on that as you would for motor. Making power is one thing, putting it to the ground effectively is another.

It really isn't that hard to build a 10 second daily driver heads/cam car.....

You will have to be willing to live with a pretty decent size cam, and some weight reduction, but nothing that will make the car unstreetable.

My car weighs 3400 lbs and is not "stripped" and was driven round trip to work (80+ miles) almost everyday since it has had the heads/cam setup......that is the definition of streetable to me
